Virgin Australia has confirmed its flights to and from Los Angeles will continue to operate from the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) once alliance partner Delta Air Lines relocates from Terminals 5 and 6 to Terminals 2 and 3 in May 2017.

The airline also announced its new lounge access arrangements at TBIT, with Velocity Platinum members able to access the Emirates Lounge while Velocity Gold members and guests of ‘The Business’ will enter the Etihad First & Business Class Lounge.

Virgin Australia Airlines Group Executive, John Thomas, said: “We are confident this will be the best experience for our guests as LAX undergoes a period of significant development and growth.

“We welcome the ultimate transformation of Terminals 2 and 3, and will continue to work with Delta Air Lines to ensure seamless connections for our guests travelling within the US.”

Virgin Australia operates flights from Los Angeles to Brisbane, Sydney and, from 4 April 2017, Melbourne in partnership with Delta.

Delta’s move to Terminals 2 and 3 is a precursor to the airline’s $1.9 billion plan to modernise, upgrade and connect Terminals 2, 3 and TBIT at LAX over the next seven years.

The current TBIT opened in 2013 after being redeveloped by Westfield, and features stylish storefronts inspired by the boutiques of Rodeo Drive and Melrose Avenue together with a high quality selection of dining outlets.
