• Virgin Australia has relaunched hotel and car rental deals directly from its websites in a new partnership with Rocket Travel, a world leader in online travel, owned by the same holding company as Booking.com and Agoda.
• The partnership will offer Virgin Australia customers and Velocity Frequent Flyer members hundreds of thousands of hotel and car rental offers across the globe, including more ways to redeem, with more products than ever before.
• Velocity Frequent Flyer drops launch offer, providing members bonus Points for eligible hotel and car rental bookings*.

Virgin Australia Group has partnered with Rocket Travel, owned by the same holding company as Booking.com and Agoda, to launch a new booking platform that offers customers over 400,000 hotel room deals across the globe and an extensive range of car rental options that can be booked directly on the airline’s websites.

The partnership marks the first time Virgin Australia has offered hotel and car rental options through the one partner since the airline was relaunched less than two years ago, providing more value, more seamless travel options, and even more ways Velocity members can earn and redeem Points, with Points earn and Points + pay now available at the checkout.

Virgin Australia Group Chief Commercial Officer, Dave Emerson said the airline was providing hundreds of thousands of great value travel options for customers through a new simple booking process provided by Rocket Travel.

Launch offer

To celebrate the launch, Velocity Frequent Flyer members who make an eligible hotel booking by 13 September 2022 will earn triple Points, the equivalent of 9 Points per $1 Spent.*  Members will also earn 1,000 bonus Points on eligible car rental bookings made by 30 September 2022^.  Both offers are valid for travel until 28 February 2023. An Eligible hotel booking is one that is made during the Offer Period via Rocket Travel, is for an accommodation booking, is for travel between 30 August 2022 and 28 February 2023 and where Velocity Points are not used as a form of payment or part payment. Cancelled reservations will not be eligible to earn Points.

1,000 Bonus Point Campaign Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for this promotion, you will have to adhere to the following conditions:

• Upon payment, login to your Velocity account or add your Velocity account number to your reservation.
• Validity: Valid for bookings made from 12:01AM AEST on 11 August to 11:59PM AEST on 30 September 2022 and travel between 11 August 2022 and 28 February 2023.
• Complete your travel.
