Virgin Australia launches wireless In-Flight Entertainment across its Charter fleet
Virgin Australia has today announced that its wireless In-flight Entertainment (IFE) system has gone live across its charter fleet in Western Australia (WA), making it the first charter operator in Australia to offer this service to its guests.
The Virgin Australia Regional Airline fleet, comprising of Fokker 100 and Airbus A320 aircraft, is now equipped with the wireless IFE system, allowing guests to enjoy:
✈ a broad range of the latest movies, television shows, music, podcasts and more;
✈ Gate-to-Gate entertainment, where IFE can be accessed from the moment a guest takes their seat until the moment the plane lands at their destination; and
✈ a multi-device offering, where IFE can be accessed on a guest’s smart phone, tablet or laptop (via Microsoft Silverlight).
Guests simply need to download the Virgin Australia Entertainment app ahead of travel and bring their own headphones to enjoy the following benefits:

The Virgin Australia Regional Airline fleet operates to mine sites and regional destinations across WA including: Geraldton; Newman; Karratha; Port Hedland; Broome; Kununurra; Kalgoorlie; and Onslow. Other destinations that the fleet operates to include the Indian Ocean Territories, Alice Springs, Darwin and Adelaide.
